Who is Julie Fay?
Hi! In some ways, I was born a researcher I just didn’t know it yet.
Just like a UX research project, my previous background as a content manager feeds into the need to always analyze what I do and build on what's working for success. And as a former actress studying the psychology of characters, makes empathizing with web users feel like second-nature.
I take that philosophy with me into my personal life too. I can often be found in a quirky coffeehouse with my trusty journal reflecting on what's working in my life. I also notice, what's not working, and how to make it easier, faster, or maybe simply more fun.
That's what excites me the most about UX research. I love shaping things that touch our lives better, for the people that use them. You can see this in my case studies.

UX Researcher
I love practicing user-based experience research. It scratches my mental itch for psychology, analysis and, creativity all at the same time. I studied at General Assembly and after 6 years in the field, I continue to be a life-long learner.

Come Oscar time I'm the one darting in and out of movie theaters catching all the Best Picture nominees. I also act on the small screen (and stage) from time to time.

I had no idea what culinary delights awaited me when I first moved to a bigger city but I love discovering new dishes and places to eat.
City Explorer
One of my favorite pastimes is people-watching. Often I’m quietly observing in cafes, green spaces, and local cultural events. You can also find me tossing out suggestions watching improv shows on the weekends.
